This webinar hosted by the Youth Justice Board (YJB) will be an evidence-based talk that brings Dr Sophie King-Hill’s academic insight on what works best when diverting boys from harmful behaviours and Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG).

Aimed at deepening your understanding of VAWG and the youth justice system, this session will:

  • highlight the work that Dr Sophie King-Hill has done on VAWG, bringing in her academic insight and expertise
  • establish when best to use VAWG vs Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC)
  • discuss the importance of both bringing boys into conversations around VAWG and forming positive attitudes and discussion around sex to prevent sexual violence.

About Dr Sophie King-Hill:

Dr. Sophie King-Hill is an Associate Professor at the University of Birmingham, UK. She specialises in sexual behaviours and assessment in children, sexual health, sibling sexual behaviour/abuse, misogyny, relationships & sex education and the importance of youth voice.
