From 25 November to 10 December 2025, Ealing joins the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign. This international movement calls for action to end violence against women and girls (VAWG) and runs from the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women to Human Rights Day, reminding us that safety and dignity are fundamental human rights.
Our local partnership – including the Police, Council, local support services, voluntary and community sector, and grassroots organisations – has put together an exciting calendar of events. These activities aim to raise awareness, share knowledge, and empower our community to take action.
You’ll find a mix of in-person and online events, some led by local organisations and others delivered by national experts in different areas of VAWG. Highlights include:
- Ending Digital Violence Against Women and Girls (25 November): A partnership-led event featuring stalls, expert talks, and practical advice on tackling online abuse.
- Stand Up Against Harassment: Bystander Training: Online sessions by the Suzy Lamplugh Trust to help you learn how to safely intervene and support victims.
- Police-led engagement stalls across the borough, plus community activities like the Women’s Dusk Run and Walk & Talk sessions.
- National webinars on topics such as men’s role in tackling violence, bringing boys into the conversation, and safeguarding children.
These events are open to the public and professionals alike, offering opportunities to learn, connect, and make a difference. Together, we can challenge harmful behaviours and create a safer community for everyone.
