Ealing celebrated International Women’s Day on 8 March at Southall Town Hall.

The event had a fantastic turnout with residents and community organisations all participating in celebrating local women and those across the globe. The event had lots of fun activities, including art, writing pledges, music and keynote speeches with the local MP for Ealing Southall – Deirdre Costigan, Councillor Jasbir Anand (Cabinet member for Tackling crime and ASB) and Councillor Polly Knewstub (Cabinet member for Healthy lives), this then followed a panel discussion themed on Pushback Against Women’s Rights Globally and Locally.

A special shout out goes to Southall Community Alliance who helped to coordinate this event with support of Ealing council, voluntary sector organisations and a local high school. A special thanks goes out to key partners:
